North Korea gets banned from competition for 2 years
After the FIG found out that North Korean gymnast Hung Su Jong the 2007 world vault silver medalist was underage when she competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics , Hong Su Jong entered different competitions with three different birth dates (1985, 1986 or 1989), as 1989 would be too young to compete at the 2004 Athens Olympics .In November 2010, the F.I.G. announced that due to the age discrepancies, North Korean gymnasts were banned from all international competition until October 5, 2012. The North Korean Federation was also fined USD $20,800, and Hong specifically was banned from competing in even national competition within North Korea

China dominates the gold at the 2010 Asian Games
China swept all the gold medals in the competition , At the team finals China won with 234.150 , Japan went for the silver with 223.250 & Uzbekistan for the bronze with score 207.950. At the All round finals China 's two time world bronze medalist Sui Lu won the gold with score 58.400 , a fall from the uneven bars prevented her teammate Huang Qiushuang to win the gold a head of her , however Qiushuang took the silver (58.050) , 21 year old Japanese gymnast Rie Tanaka took the bronze with score 54.850.
At the event finals :Vault All round silver medalist Huang Qiushuang won the gold with score 14.787 , All round bronze medalist Japanese Rie Tanaka went for the silver with score14.237 , while her teammate Momoko Ozawa 14.112. Uneven bars World and Olympic Uneven bars champion Chinese He Kexin won the gold with score 16.425 which was the highest at the competition , Huang Qiushuang took the silver with score 15.825 , and 2009 world uneven bars silver medalist Japanese Koko Tsurmi took the bronze with score 14.300.Balance Beam All around Asian games champion Sui Lu won the gold with score 15.245 , while the silver went to her teammate Deng Linlin who is the 2009 world champion and 2010 silver medalist on the event (15.200) , Uzbekistan ' s Luiza Galiulina took the bronze with score 14.350 . Floor Exercise Sui Lu also won the gold with score 14.700 , Sui Lu is also the 2009 world floor bronze medalist , and the silver and the bronze went for Japanese Mai Yamagishi (13.625) , and South Korean Jo Hyun Joo ( 13.450).

Ana Progras wins the balance beam & Lauren Mitchell makes history
2010 World championships
Balance Beam Finals
Ana Progras won the balance beam gold with score 15.366 , Progras is the first Romanian to win a world gold since Andreea Raducan in 2001 , Chinese Deng Linlin the 2009 world balance beam champion came second tied with American Rebecca Bross with score 15.233. Australian Lauren Mitchell who won a silver medal on that event at 2009 worlds came 4 th with score 15.200, World Vault champion Alicia Sacromone came fifth with score 15.066 .While Russian Anna Dementyeva , Aliya Mustafina and Yana Demyanchuk from Ukraine fell placing the last three positions.
Floor Exercise
Lauren Mitchell made history by becoming the first ever Australian gymnast to win a Gold medal at the worlds , Mitchell won the gold with score 14.833 , World All Around champion Aliya Mustafina took the silver tied with Romanian Diana Chelaru with score 14.766 .American Alexandra Raisman came 4 th with score 14.716 , Sui Lu from China placed 5 th with score 14.666 and World 2006 all around champion Vanessa Ferrari placed 6th with score 14.600 . A very disappointing performance by Olympic floor champion Sandra Izabasa who stepped out of bounce 2 times scoring 13.983 , Russian Ksenia Afansyeva fell twice placing 8 th scoring 12.700.

Event Finals : Alicia Sacromone wins the Gold on the vault &Elizabeth Tweddle regains the world title on the Uneven Bars
Alicia Sacromone finally wins a Gold medal , this is her first gold medal in 5 years (2005 Floor champion) with score 15.200 , World All Around champion Aliya Mustafina won the silver medal with score 15.066 and Brazilian gymnast Jade Barbosa won the Bronze 14.799 this is the second medal for Barbosa as her first was at the 2007 worlds (bronze in the all around).Voters:Two people voted for Sacromone , and Two others voted for Mustafina to win the Gold
In the Uneven Bars final: Despite the High expectation for He kexin to win the Gold , Kexin failed in winning any medal on the Uneven bars as she fell , The gold went to British Elizabeth Tweddle with score 15.733 , Tweddle 's first gold on the Uneven bars was at the 2006 worlds , and as in the vault finals , Mustafina took the silver by score 15.600 and as last year Rebecca Bross went for the bronze with score 15.066
Voters:4 people voted for He Kexin and one voted for Elizabeth Tweddle .

Mutafina wins the All Around gold

Mustafina won today the All Around gold after a spectacular performance with score 61.032 , Mustafina is the second Russian Artistic gymnast(after Soviet's break up) to win the All Around (the other one is Svetlana Khorkina ) , Chinese gymnast Jiang Yuyuan missed the gold medal by 1.034 , Yuyuan is the second Chinese female gymnast to win an All around world medal, American Rebecca Bross went for the bronze medal with score 58.966 , like the 2009 Worlds Rebecca fell on one of the events (balance beam) anyhow the fall didn't affect her like past year as the difference between her and the gold medalist is 2.066 . Huang Qiushuang from China came 4th and Ana Progras from Romania came 5th.

A look on the All Around qualifiers

We have here Aliya Mustafina from Russia , She is the favorite to win the All Around title as she qualified first with score 60.666 , Mustafina is the only gymnast to qualify in all individual finals at this Worlds ,she also helped the Russian team to win their first ever team gold medal .At the 2010 European championships Mustafina helped the Russian team to win the gold medal ,Individually she won 2 silvers one on the balance beam and the other on the uneven bars .
Rebecca Bross from USA also one of the favorites to win the All Around title , she qualified second with score 59.081, Bross won an AA silver medal at the 2009 Worlds behind her teammate Bridget Sloan with only 0.050 , she is also the current US national champion .Bross qualified for the Balance beam and Uneven bars finals at this competition.
Alexandra Raisman from USA , qualified third with score 58.315 , Raisman is the all around US national bronze medalist . Alexandra qualified for the floor exercise finals.
Jiang Yuyuan from china , qualified fourth with score 58.099, Yuyuan is a memeber of the 2008 gold Olympic medalist team , Despite qualifying in the 4 th place , she failed in qualifying to any event finals.
China's new coming star Huang Qiushuang qualified in 5 th place , she also qualified second for the Uneven bars final behind her teammate He Kexin.
